North Georgia Home Education Academy Doctrinal Statement
North Georgia Home Educators Academy is a program designed for families interested in a Christ centered home education. As a Christian group, we find that our members have basic beliefs in common, though our group includes many facets of the Christian faith.
Instructors involved in the NGHEA program are not required to be members of any specific denomination or Cool Springs Baptist Church but must understand we are part of the Bride of Jesus Christ and must affirm these basic fundamental beliefs demonstrated in the statements below.
· We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and only Word of God and as such contains God%u2019s complete and final revelation.
· We believe that God is one in essence, but that He exists in three distinct and equal persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and that these three have precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections.
· We believe in God as absolute and sole creator of the Universe and that creation was by divine fiat, not by evolutionary process.
· We believe that God created human beings in His image to enjoy His fellowship and glorify Him. By their own choice, they decided to rebel against their Creator; that every person since that time has been born with a propensity to sin; that our personal sin causes us to have need for justification and redemption; and that sin is universal and without excuse.
· We believe that God, in His sovereign choice and out of love for humanity, sent Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. We believe that we are justified before God simply by placing our personal trust in Christ by faith, and that we are eternally secure in grace from that moment on. However, sin may interrupt the joy of our fellowship with God and may bring the loving discipline of our heavenly Father. We believe there is no way of salvation other than through Jesus Christ.
· We believe that Jesus Chris is both God and man; that His death paid a sufficient price to redeem any person who would believe in Him as a personal Savior; that He rose from the dead bodily and He ascended to the right hand of God the Father; and that He is returning to the earth bodily and visibly to set up His eternal Kingdom.
· NGHEA believes in the literal six-day Biblical Creation and young earth point of view. This belief forms the basis of the worldview presented during our classes and integrated into all instruction.
